I hear different variations of this question a lot: “I’d like to pose for boudoir photography but does it have to be risque or nude?” And while the manner in which it’s posed may differ, the answer is always the same: Boudoir photography can be whatever you want it to be, can look however you want it to look!
Because I can’t always share images from my boudoir shoots online (I fiercely guard privacy as per my client’s requests), I sometimes engage a model for a shoot so that I might showcase different looks and concepts I can use with my clients. I did just that a few days ago and following are some images that demonstrate that you can have a boudoir shoot that looks like it came straight out of a Victoria’s Secret catalog, from a fairy tale dream, or from a high fashion magazine. And no, you don’t have to be nude or go risque…unless you want to! : )

As I head into a fun weekend – pin-up parties and boudoir photography shoots intended as Valentine’s day gifts, I thought I’d post a quick little reminder that Valentine’s day is right around the corner!
If you’re considering boudoir photography as a gift, be sure to book soon. Ideally shoots are best scheduled before January is out – to enable time for editing, retouching, selection and ordering of calendars, prints, or those little black books he’ll be sure to cherish.
