Spend a little time with me and you’ll quickly see that I’m passionate about photography!
Though I’d always enjoyed capturing the world around me — whether during visits to new places or during milestone life events — it wasn’t until I became a mom of three boys that I began to challenge myself to capture the little things…those beautiful and fleeting moments that when clipped together tell the story of our lives.
The more I learned about the camera — what it could actually do when you freed it from the reins of “auto,” the more I began to fall in love with the idea of shooting on purpose…blurring or focusing as a means of artistic expression…slowing down or speeding up the shutter to convey a feeling or mood.
A former painter, I chose to pursue the study of photography and express my creativity primarily through my camera. And, in case you’re interested, a professional Nikon camera is my tool of choice.
Chat with me and you’ll quickly discover that flexibility is my motto. Sure, I love shooting with natural light, but I also love working with studio strobes. I am equally comfortable working in my studio and shooting at a location of your choice. I particularly love shooting women and showing each and every one of them how truly beautiful they are!
And don’t worry if you’re not generally comfortable in front of the camera…you’ll find me to be an easy going, friendly person who can set you at ease whether or not the camera happens to be your friend. Best of all, boudoir photography is fun! My job is to make sure you have a great time!
In terms of style, I love to fuse beauty, fashion, vintage/retro approaches, and fine art techniques in my approach to boudoir photography. My gallery reflects the wide range of styles I love creating. As for your particular session, the choice depends on you – the look you’re going for, what you envision. We’ll spend time talking on the phone and planning the specifics of your shoot.
In any case, the result will be a fresh, distinctive and creative style.
