Every summer is so crazy. So many brides getting married. So many anniversaries. So many clients who reach out for shoots not realizing how long it takes to create their beautiful images and so we rush. rush. rush. hurry. hurry and hurry. Juggling becomes an art form all on its own.
Bottom line: I love what I do.
Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I breathe. Pause. And look at my life.
Fact is, I'm so grateful.
I'm grateful for every woman who steps through my door. I'm grateful for every laugh we share. I'm grateful for the trust she places in me--trust that I will capture her at her best, trust that I will help her overcome her body image issues, trust that I will make her feel and look beautiful.
And each and every exclamation filled message shrieking with joy, happiness, pride and appreciation upon receipt of her album only fuels my desire to keep on keeping on in a tough market, in a tough environment where the value of artistic photography has diminished so severely.
This coming year will again be a year of transition. Long Island boudoir photography is evolving. Growing. Becoming something even more unique and different. As I ponder all that needs to be done in the coming months, it's easy to get overwhelmed, to lose my breath, to feel anxious...but I have faith. Faith, because I have support from my friends, family, and just as importantly, years and years of past clients--many of whom have become dear friends.
So I am truly very grateful.
Wishing you a joyous end of summer 2016,
Illuminating the Power of the Feminine(R)
